Freshman Assani Berkeley: A Look at Boys Basketball

The San Luis Obispo High School boys basketball team is having an outstanding season so far. Their record is 6-2, losing only to two of the best teams in the state. With the goal of going to CIF, Expressions interviewed freshman Assani Berkeley for his thoughts on the upcoming season.

Expressions: How do you feel about your team this year?

Freshman Assani Berkeley: The season has been amazing, and I really like my team.

Expressions: What is your prediction for the season?

Berkeley: We will play our best and hopefully be able to go to CIF and win.

Expressions: If you play against the team that you guys lost to, do you think your team could beat them this time?

Berkeley: If we play them again, we definitely can. We lost because we were tired and lost a bit of focus. But if we could, we will definitely win.

Expressions: When are your next games?

Berkeley: We have a game in Templeton this week and a home game next Wednesday.

Be sure to come out and cheer our boys basketball team on next Wednesday in the new gym!
